Our History

Bible Baptist Church was founded in February of 1961 in a two car garage. After the church was organized and constituted they called Rev. Burman Cape to be their pastor. Rev. Cape led the church to build a building and Sunday school facility that was soon filled shortly after.
Rev. Cape faithfully served as the pastor of Bible Baptist Church for thirty-seven years. After retiring from the pastorate he and his wife Evelyn continued to work out of the church in the ministry of evangelism. Rev. Cape went home to be with the Lord in January of 2011. His wife Evelyn is still a faithful and active member of Bible Baptist today.
After Rev. Cape’s retirement in February of 1998, the church called Dr. Ricky Gravley to be their pastor. Dr. Gravley has faithfully served as pastor of Bible Baptist Church since 1998 and still serves as pastor today. Bible Baptist is over half a century old and still remains an old fashioned, Bible preaching and teaching church without apology.
